Carrier Transicold and GRP chill out with Crystal Ice

The latest vehicle to join the distribution fleet of Crystal Ice, the West London based ice manufacturer, has once again been fitted with a GRP refrigerated van conversion.

The Mercedes Sprinter GRP van conversion has a side sliding freezer door and modular rear doors, and a Carrier Transicold Xarios 350 unit provides the refrigeration system.

	For the last 15 years, Crystal Ice have exclusively specified GRP van conversions for their vehicles and the latest Mercedes Sprinter 416CDI (4.6T) long wheel base, high roof van was converted by GRP at its factory in Leeds. Crystal Ice has manufactured and distributed packaged ice cubes to the Convenience Store and Off License sectors since 1986. This latest vehicle will be used for daily express deliveries to Wholesale Cash & Carry’s and Frozen Food Distributors within London and along the M4 corridor.
